Church Road

The ground floor reordering and extension of a 1920s semi detached house located in a Conservation Area in Cardiff to provide improved internal spaces that enjoy a more immediate relationship with the garden. The extension takes the form of a simple brick box that is articulated by a fully glazed timber bay. The bay connects the interior with the garden whilst fulfilling the requirement to provide an internal seating area that is simultaneously 'in the garden'. Whilst informed by the design of the existing house, the exterior of the extension is detailed to provide a subtle distinction between the new work and original house.
