Llanfihangel Barn
The conversion of a substantial Grade II* listed sixteenth century corn barn (with attached seventeenth century stable block) and rebuilding of adjacent outbuildings to provide a large dwelling organised around an existing courtyard. The original open space of the corn barn is retained as a living area whilst the three floors of the stable block accommodate family bedrooms and bathrooms. The rebuilt cow-house contains an open plan kitchen, dining and living space whilst a third building provides a games room and garaging. With the exception of the front elevations to the kitchen and garage blocks, the strategy for these works allowed the buildings to remain true to their original forms whilst accommodating the programme of a large, modern house.
